Believe it or not friends, today we all need to meditate. Meditation helps us in more ways than one. I have tried it and I have got better positive results regarding that. Who amongst you are into meditation? And what are your experiences in this regard. Please share. And if you have started meditation yet, it's time.

Oh too good. I just talked about meditation. But if you combine yoga with meditation, nothing like it. One is necessary for our body, while the other is required for out soul, for our mind. It's a bit difficult to start with. But when one is in the flow, then the next steps are comparatively quite easy.

@Shivram59 I've also been into meditation for a few months now, around 8. It feels extremely great during the meditation time. I mean, it's not possible to explain it in words. If you have been into that for 4 months, it means you have made quite an improvement in yourself. I am sure you have gone through the primary hurdles. You'll soon be successful, don't worry. But at the same time, it's also not that easy. You know some people can touch that particular moment instantly. For a few, it takes time. The same things used to happen with me too. There's a lot to talk about meditation. It can take even a few births to reach a particular stage of meditation.

@abhi_bangal Thanks;my friend.I have been practicing meditation for more than 4 months;but due to some family issues fail to focus.Still I keep trying and am confident I'll accomplish it one day. It is strange that I successfully focus my mind when I study Sanskrit;but my mind gets disturbed when I meditate.

Ohhhh! What you are talking about is called pranayam. In this process, you inhale through one nostril, and exhale through the other. Then this process is repeated the other way round. You can call this breathing exercises too. And this is quite different from meditation. But good that you are into something. We should always maintain these things in our life.

@grenery8 I'm sorry to say, mate, we aren't likely to get silence in today's noisy city life. And if by chance, we do get some silence, the silence within should be "awake" to allow us to meditate. I'm sure you are getting what I'm saying. So, don't expect the city life to get us into silence. If there's silence from within, you can get what you want even in a noisy marketplace. You can read my discussion with @Shivram59. And you will know what I'm saying. Thanks. Just don't get me wrong!

@abhi_bangal i know it's different rather, it's similar. to get lost in total silence, like meditation, i would need silence to start from and i don't have it in noisy city life.

That's great to hear that you do meditate. What's even better to read is that you have had positive results. It's difficult to find that mental space when we aren't in a good frame of mind, especially when trying to start meditation. But once you are in the flow, things start flowing automatically. Good luck with your meditation.

@annierose I haven't heard so lovely wishes in recent times. Thank you so so much for that. Also, you said that it really makes a difference, shows that even you are into meditating. And for that, I too wish you good luck.

What you mentioned happens in the initial days of anything we do, especially when we need our mind to focus on something. Because mind is the most difficult thing to control. That's why many people find it difficult to meditate. And due to this difficulty, there's no success. And lack of success results in lack of interest. But if you persist a bit, I'm sure you will find success. I too went through what you said. But finally made it.

That is very rightly said. Meditation is important for two things - for our own peace of mind, and for beating stress. And I liked the word, "mandatory". Though, in a real sense it is not, but to live a peaceful life, to live a stressfree life, this has indeed become mandatory. The more we do, the better we feel. The only thing is the start. Many people falter there. But once this step is overcome, nothing like it.
