A Day at the E-bike Shop

Since we’ve finished handling the lot we bought, my next priority was getting my e-bike repaired. With the school year starting soon, I’ll be quite busy preparing for classes. My older sister and nephew accompanied me to the repair shop because it’s quite far from our place—about an hour’s drive. My mom was concerned about me going alone due to the bumpy roads, numerous trees, and the need to drive between rivers.
When I arrived, the technician told me he couldn’t repair my e-bike. I was frustrated because I had informed their secretary of my visit, but she hadn’t passed on the message that I was bringing the e-bike for repair today. I explained that returning the e-bike would be challenging due to the high tide in the morning. Driving the e-bike through saltwater is risky, as it can cause quick rusting, so I need to be mindful of the tide. The technician then mentioned that he’s only available in the mornings on weekends, but I can only bring the e-bike in the afternoon. This week, it’s safer to visit the repair shop after lunch, as the water level lowers by then.
My sister suggested leaving the e-bike at the shop and picking it up once it’s fixed. Initially, the technician was reluctant to accept the e-bike for storage, but I explained the difficulty of transporting it back and that I would soon be busy with work. Eventually, he agreed to keep the e-bike at their shop. I also asked for his number so I could call him tomorrow to check on the e-bike and see if I could pick it up tomorrow afternoon.

@just4him Thanks, Valerie! Only the oil seal was completed. The back seat is not yet replaced by a new one but I have to pick my e-bike this day so I will just bring it again to the repair shop after 6 months I guess as I will be soon busy.

@annierose I'm sorry only the oil seal was completed. I hope it won't give you problems while you ride it for the next six months.
