Flights delayed due to Crowstrike and Microsoft outage

My relative was suppose to land in the city by evening, but they got delayed by almost 6-7 hours due to the tech failure. Luckily their flight isn't cancelled. And like old days, they were issued hand-written boarding passes. Officials from MS says that it will take few more hours to rectify the situation.

It has been a major software glitch.
Falcon, the Security endpoint Program from CrowdStrike is affected leading to this situation.
It will surely take more time to rectify.
I think there always ought to be an "Emergency" backup system.

Some Airlines and other users are still facing the issue although a lot has been rectified.
