I went down a rabbit hole.I am not certain what time I got up since the power knocked out my clock..but I thought it was before nine. I just saw the time it was 11:11.. The day is slipping away. Wow. Oh well .It's the weekend. Are you ever shocked by the time?

Most of the time when I am shocked by the time, it's usually when I'm on vacation or having fun and the time seems to speed up infinitely. Like where'd the time go? Darn it! lol. Why can't time go that fast when we're having a stressful day at work or something?

I know .when at work or the dentist or something you look at the clock. It seems an hour has passed, and it has only been 7 minutes or something.Time never seems to go more slowly than being at work or in a boring class.

@moffittjc I hate going to both the doctor and the dentist, but dentist is worse, because you never know what is going to end up costing a gazillion bucks.

@snowy22315 That's funny that you mentioned the dentist, because that's exactly what I was thinking about when I typed my comment. How when you are at the dentist and it feels like they have been working on your teeth for hours, yet only a few minutes have slipped by.

It is good to have the power go out on occasion if only to allow ourselves the pleasure of getting some extra sleep that our bodies need without the concern of the time. I was up early and cooked a dozen ear of corn on the cob, cooled it, and cut it off of the cobs and now that is freezing on cookie sheets in the freezer. I will put the sweet corn into freezer bags probably late tonight, and then do another dozen tomorrow.

That will be tasting mighty good in the winter. When I was a kid we used to can corn around Labor Day. We would go out to my grandparents farm and spend the day shucking, boiling and canning the corn. It would last us all winter. We also had a grocery sack full to consume immediately..so delicious!

@Juliaacv That's the name of the game. Where did you get the corn?

@snowy22315 I love doing up my own vegetables, I know that they are organic that way. I have enough to last us the winter months.

I didn’t fall asleep until 6am, and then it felt like five minutes later my groceries had been delivered and I hadn’t heard the text that they arrived. Apparently, they sat outside for an hour. Luckily, nothing was affected.

Uh oh..Thankfully I slept pretty well last night for me. Maybe the clock showing the wrong time is a blessing. Do you know the breathing technique of two deep breaths in and exhaling slowly to a count of 7 or 8? You have to do at least two cycles..you will start to feel sleepy. IT calms your body.

@snowy22315 I forgot about that. I think you gave this tip before, right? I’ll try that next time. I was sleepy, but the pain was just so bad.

@AmbiePam I don't recall sharing it before, but I saw it on TV once and it really does work.

It's amazing how time flies fast when you're having fun but crawls by if you are, eg, at the dentist's.

Yep, even not if you are necessarily having fun, but fully engaged in something it goes past fast.

My husband is the one that is always shocked by the time. He has no time sense at all. I'm up all the time; so I'm always aware of the time. Have a good day.
