It seems , some of the the younger generations are becoming incondierate and disrespectful towards older people and senior citizens . I have witnessed few times, kids showing faces to older people with absolute no provocations , playing and damaging items belonging to others .
At the same time , I have witnessed people being disrespectful towards their subordinates, colleagues and making the environment toxic.
In case of younger children, I choose to speak to their parents .This sets up as a warning . In professional life, I show tit for tat and that has worked most times if not all.So , how should we handle disrespectful behaviour in personal and professional lives.

sometimes, even the parents are not better than their children so, not sure if i would say something; maybe, if i had it enough. i still have a little trauma when i rang my neighbour when he had some construction works, asking him how long will it take and he literally started swearing. i walked away and said to him he obviously has some issues so, not too open to that. i've also seen older people disrespecting younger so, hard to tell these days who is having harder times, maybe us in the middle.

Well, guess even elder ones are also not right in treating others. Thanks for sharing!

We need to restablish core values that newer generations took for granted or were never tought. I was raised with the f around and find out mindset. If I did something wrong, there was a punishment to follow. We need stronger , stricter guidelines that give teachers and school power in the form of disipline. If we can correct the behavior, then we can prevent problems like this going forward.

To a great extent, that is very true. In fact , we need laws to ensure parenting , I feel. Thanks for sharing!

So far as children are concerned, some kind of positive and negative reinforcement works. I resort to touch their hearts with stories, analogies, anecdotes, examples, quotes, instances from biographies of great men, videos on morals/ethics/values etc.
With more mature adults, it's been a roller coaster ride. Earlier I used to react. Learning to ignore was gradually developed. It comes with more focus on self-improvement and complete involvement with the task at hand. At one point, when I'd hit the lowest of the low, I surrendered to God.

I totally understand and go with it. It is easier to handle kids under 10 .But for those as you mentioned, it is roller coaster ride. Thanks for sharing!
