How Can a Speech Be Good When...

Trump goes on about his imaginary friend, the serial killer Hannibal Lecter, and talks about buying votes in Wisconsin, he called COVID the Chinese virus, and called our retired Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi "Crazy Nancy" and, that was tickled when the Taliban referred to him as "his excellency"? This isn't normal and I would think that a man I would vote for for the President of the United States would be less self-aggrandizing and more into the traditions and things that are more American, not Trumpian. It's all about him. The Presidency should be about really making our country stronger, not bringing it down like he wants to do. There have been 6.4 million raised in GoFundMe Funds to help the families of the two critically injured and the family who lost their husband and father to the Shooter last Saturday. Yet I haven't heard Trump say a word about them. He just goes on about the moments leading up to his ear being swiped by a bullet. He should not have even been on that stage that day and I think if the Secret Service had been doing their jobs he wouldn't have been. It seems they knew he was a threat and had eyes on Cooks at least an hour before Trump went on stage yet still allowed him to go out there. So stupid, all of it.

What gets me is that huge bandage on his ear. Totally not necessary. Have a good day.

He needs it because he is a whining baby and wants to emphasize what happened to him. And how sickening was it when at the RNC Trump went up to the uniform of the firefighter who lost his life and kissed the helmet? Why didn't he say something publically to the family? Because it is all about him.

@LindaOHio .....Biden is just the opposite. Harris is going to give him a good run.

Im no psychiatrist but in my humble opinion Trump is a bit narcissistic If he was capable of actually playing this assassination the "right" way I'm pretty sure he'd walk in to the Whitehouse without much effort given the current opposition. That being said I do actually agree with a fair bit of what he says. I've no problem calling Covid the Chinese virus as from all I have read and watched (respected media no out there nutters) it originated in a Chinese lab and we seem to have forgotten that.

I totally agree with you. Experts have said he also shows some early-onset dementia. I don't think Trump knows a "right" way to do things. He runs on what he wants and what he needs. It's not just him calling it "the Chinese virus" it is the disrespect he shows by saying ti that way. Doesn't matter where it started. A Presidential candidate should show some respect to other countries.

@celticeagle I agree but, to be fair, Trump didn't ever claim to be a statesman...he said he's a business man and wants to make deals. Obama was a polished class act, he was a statesman...BUT he wasn't very receptive to Brexit whereas Trump was. Obama said we 'd be not a priority for a trade deal whereas Trump would be more open. Trump has his many flaws but I think what you see is what you get along with all the associated baggage. I recently changed jobs and had 2 weeks off so watched all I could watch of President Biden and something is not right and I wouldn't vote for him because I think he's not well.

Yes, indeed. And, if he is voted in we may not have that anymore. He wants to do away with all of that.

@everwonderwhy .......First off Trump is an ex-President. Second -- he does not follow the Constitution. I don't even think he has read it.

@celticeagle You and I believe that what you are saying is not the truth. FYI, Republican President Trump is a nationalist, America first absolutist believer and follower of USA Constitution, 1789, which is the supreme Law of USA!
