Thunder and Lightning.

Right now there is thunder and lightning in the sky it is really loud. It has not done this or rained in the nine years that we have lived here. The thunder is really loud and the lightning is going across the sky.
It never rains here in the summer.
My cousin just called and she was raised in Roseburg, Oregon and she said it never thunders or has lightning. It is also very rare for it to rain in the summer.
Buttercup and Blackie are scared running all over the place.

Maybe that's the effect of global warming. Nature today doesn't follow the patterns they used to. Here in the Philippines it rains now even in summer. Weather now Is so unpredictable.

We have had a lot of rain this week. This evening we are getting lots of lightning and thunder, but the rain is slow to arrive.

We have had our share this summer, for sure. But it''s been nice to get the rain, as things can get so dry. Last summer there were a lot of field fires around me.

I know I'm responding to this a couple of days after you posted it, but right now here in north Florida it is approaching 9:45pm and it is storming terribly. The thunder and lightning and heavy rain are hellacious, and it looks like it will continue for the next several hours. It's very rare that we get nighttime thunderstorms, most of ours are afternoon thunderstorms.

@jstory07 And I'm afraid it's accelerating rapidly. It seems like every year now we are shattering the warmest temperatures on record. I feel bad for future generations who have to deal with this.

We had thunder and lightening yesterday.Today the weather is cloudy;a bit cold;but no thunder;no lightening and not even a single drop of rain.

We've always had thunderstorms but weather has changed here too; tropical-like storms are a thing now, as well as heavy rains. I'm kinda afraid of thunders and lightnings, even when I'm indoors. 
And when they hit close, yeah, very very loud. 
I can relate to Buttercup and Blackie.
