Giving birth is not always so painful.

I have been reading a post here that included childbirth. It was called "excruciating pain" by a lotter and others said that if men gave birth, our race would have ended. Thinking back, I think that when I had stones in my gall bladder (I needed surgery and then the doctors CUT!) it was much worse than giving birth. When I gave birth, I went to my doctor and told him that I had heard about painless labor. He answered that it was not completly painless but it could be a lot better. He then told me that if someone hit me anywhere when I was not prepared, it would hurt me a lot. But if I KNEW that I would receive a punch, I´d prepare my muscles and it would not hurt so much. I did that and I did some gym. I also followed a diet (that was terrible) that made me stop gaining weight. I gave birth to both of my girls less than being 2 hours at the hospital. No excruciating pain. I have had pains that last forever though. When a loved one dies, there is a permanent scar that no cream soothes. I don´t think that being strong has to do with genre. But it has to do with culture. We must change that. It is slowly changing but it has to be done quicker. We must demand respect. All human beings.

I did child birth naturally. I have a deep fear of needles. It was 12 hours of deep, not giving up pain. I was young and thank God strong in those days.

I´m so sorry. Not all childbirths are as easy as mine. The doctor told me I should have a dozen kids. I answered that raising up was the big problem.

I've been told that kidney stone pain is comparable to childbirth. It isn't fun but I couldn't tell you how it compares for obvious reasons. I don't think it is useful to minimize anyone's pain. I have respect for what my wife and other women have been through but to diss men in general over the experience doesn't serve anyone.

Some people bear pain more than others. I once had a pain in one ear and thought that I had something that went into my brain. Some people say that the worst are teeth pains. If someone tells me something hurts a lot, I worry. And I try to help. It is absurd to compare.

@koopharper Dixie has lost her sister and her brother. And both of her parents. But before that her parents divorced so that was another pain. There are all kinds of pains in this world.

There is a much more excruciating pain that leaves scars on the soul. That is having initiated birth and giving birth to a stillborn baby. Once was enough for me, I wound up with no children, and the only way I went on it to learn to lock this out of my mind, Just mentioning it now but mostly I never think about it ever,

My friend Lili gave birth to a stillborn baby. I went to her house every day. I have never seen so much pain. And Lili at least talked with me. But Leo just looked and his eyes were a sea of pain and you could not do anything.

With my first child, I went through excruciating pain, for about 8 hours. My second child, I didn't go through the same experience, it was milder.

@marguicha We have all been given a share of pain. Loss of a child, this would be the worst possible heartache.

I've never experienced childbirth; but I've had kidney stones. It wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. Have a good week.
