Who should be Kamala's running mate?

Yes we learned that Biden was dropping out of the race just hours ago but of course there is already speculation about who might possibly be VP Harris' running mate. CNN just showed a slate of 4 possibilities--Senator Mark Kelly from Arizona, Governor Josh Shapiro from Pennsylvania, Governor Andy Beshear of Kentucky, and. . . I forget the other one but it was a white male. The thinking is that she will select someone from one of those must-win swing states. Well I wouldn't say that Kentucky is a "swing state" per se but Beshear is obviously popular in that reliably red state after winning a second term as a Democrat governor. Gretchen Whitmer would be another good choice except for the fact that she is female and there are already too many Americans (unfortunately women included) who think that a woman can't be president. There's no way they would vote for TWO women on the same ticket. Gavin Newsom is popular and politically very smooth but I can't imagine him agreeing to play second fiddle to Harris. In any case she will have to make her selection quickly. We won't have to wait long to find out who it will be.

There are seven posts about Biden dropping out. I hope the Democrats do well but it might be a struggle.

@NJChicaa And if by chance Kamala gets in, will the Republicans accept the decision?

I wish Gretchen Whitmer would step up to the plate. She has been an excellent Governor, in Michigan. We are very happy with the way she has handled this position! Mark Kelly has proven to be an upright politician.

@NJChicaa They speak about racial discrimination. Women have the exact same issue to deal with. Male politicians think they are superior to women, legends in their own minds:)

The clock has already fallen off the wall and busted into a million pieces. It's over.

I don't think it matters who she picks. What was on the ballot more than anything, and that was indicated long before the debate, were Biden's policies. Kamala Harris is just an extension of the same policies Americans have already said they don't like. So, what does she bring to the table other than she's a different name and isn't Joe Biden? She can pick Mickey Mouse. It doesn't matter. Other than that, she's not the official nominee yet, so...will she even be the candidate?

I can't imagine that she wouldn't be the nominee. I've read that she raised almost $50 million just yesterday after Biden dropped out.

@NJChicaa It will take more than money to win an election. Just ask Bloomberg.
