While "Hi, Bob!" the insanely fun and popular drinking game, will thankfully live on forever in reruns, its' primary inspiration, Bob Newhart himself, sadly did not. And now, with his passing, how many television comedy legends from the 60s and 70s do we have left? I'm happy to report that the answer isn't zero. It's just uncomfortably close to zero, at least in the 60s category ((We'll leave the 70s for another time)). we still have one surviving regular cast member from "Get Smart," (Barbara Feldon). And one semi-regular (Bernie Kopell---He also appeared on many other shows but usually just once). We also have one from "The Andy Griffith Show," (Ron Howard). One from "The Addams Family," (John Astin). Gilligan's Island (Tina Louise). "I'm Dickens, He's Fenster," also has one (John Astin again). As does "The Dick Van Dyke Show" (Dick Van Dyke). "Laugh-In" clocks in with a surprising two. Lily Tomlin and Goldie Hawn. "I Love Lucy" even has one, (Keith Thibodeaux). So, the people who made great TV in the 60s aren't entirely dead yet. We still even have a small piece of a substantial piece of the 1950s. And one smaller piece of the 50s (Jerry Mathers). Things could be worse.
