Update on Health & TTC Journey

Hello everyone, how are you all doing?
I know I haven't shared a health update in quite a long time. Where to start is the question? Maybe in August I will share daily updates again, if anyone is interested.
My blood sugars I think have been better some, although still not great. I am supposed to check before each meal because I give meal time insulin now - however my CGMs have been failing so I haven't been able to do that and have been having to do it manually.
Really would like the newer CGM, or a different brand.
My weight is up, but I am off meds that would help with that. I am only taking metformin and my 2 insulins for now.
For the second part of the update on the trying to conceive journey - I can't give any good news just yet. I wish I could so much. My body has not done what it needs to yet since getting off of birth control (implant). I think it is trying...but I may need some meds to help with that. I am fine with that if I do, but I would like to know if I do, and if it would be covered.
I am hoping that it will still happen naturally this month....but we'll see.
As for getting healthier in preparing for a pregnancy and to try and help it happen I do have some plans for August:
We are getting a walking pad (coming this week) and I will be walking a lot. I can walk while we are watching movies, and so on... Pretty much any free time I can do it if I want.
Going to try getting more water in, I try to drink a lot throughout the day, but it is not usually water.
Also going to go back on more of a low carb diet. More protein and not going to try to be zero carb. Maybe 50 carbs or so, but will try to use lower carb bread, wraps, etc...
I am sure if I lost some weight that would help with trying to conceive. What do you think?
Image is mine - when I was a kid; with my grandfather (RIP) and one of my cousins. As you can see, I wasn't always overweight!

@just4him Well if I don't eat less, I don't know how much it will help

Glad you think so! Well right now I am not going for the big weight loss since I want a baby.... but if losing a bit helps with conceiving that would be nice.

I wish you good luck with all Courtney.
Not sure if weight stops one from conceiving.
I love that photo!!

@wolfgirl569 Well I got lucky with Eli, although I was 100 pounds lighter almost and 10 years younger.
But then I was on birth control for almost 10 years so never thought about having issues with that

While it can help, for some women - and men. It's not always an issue. Many plus size women get and stay pregnant.

Love the picture. Losing weight is always a good thing, especially since you will gain if you become pregnant. Good luck and have a good week.
