Life Is Back To Normal

Happy Monday Everyone! it's cloudy here this morning with the possibility of rain and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. I think we've had thunderstorms in the forecast every day lately. At least it isn't as hot as it has been.
My daughter got back from her vacation on Friday and it was so good to see her. We spent the day talking about her cruise (she talked, I listened). They had a wonderful time even though it was very hot in the Bahamas. Actually I don't think it was any hotter there than here. She took lots of pictures and videos so it was nice to be able to see them.
Saturday we did the usual grocery shopping etc. and the day just flew by.
Sunday she woke up feeling all stuffy with head congestion and this morning it's official....she's sick. Probably just a cold but she's miserable and already swamped with work.
My fingers and toes are crossed that I don't catch her cold.
Since she doesn't feel well I'm going to make a pot of chicken soup and hope it works it's magic.

It's really good to have her home. Aside from all that she does for me I was starved for conversation. It probably wouldn't have been as lonely if my older daughter and family hadn't gone too.

@Marilynda1225 I admit although I don’t live with my dad and stepmom, them being gone has made me somewhat lonely. I’m used to hearing from my dad, and I’ve been missing that. My sister too is in Florida, so she’s not available to talk to either.

@AmbiePam I can definitely relate to how you feel. Sometimes you don't even have to talk but just knowing family is close by is comforting

Oh poor daughter!Monday seems to be going well. I thought I was going to have another nightmare getting Nico's prescription food, but it's already on its way!

She is probably a bit over tired, and that can be when we catch a bug. I hope that she gets over it quickly, and I hope that you don't catch it.
Sounds like it was a nice trip, but I can imagine that you and the pup are happy to have her back home again.

You are right. She's tired and cranky. At least she had a good vacation and didn't get sick while she was away. I'm definitely hoping I don't catch it

That seems to happen quite often really. People go on holiday but then come down with something. I hope she recovers quickly,

Sorry your daughter isn't feeling well. What is it with people going on vacation and getting sick? I have heard of more people doing this this summer than I can remember in a long time.

My Monday was somewhat great!
I was waiting in the living room for the agency that drives me to places to arrive and take me to my heart doctor's appointment.
ten minutes before the driver came there came a big thunder! I have always refused to go out when it thunders. But on Monday I did what my therapist said and breathed in and out deeply and said "I am safe" over and over and I became better and went to my doctor.
My cat, however, went crawling with his body low to the floor to the basement. I left him down there when I left as he gets so scared of noises
