Update on Dixie´s surgery.

Dixie was told that she would have to be in bed around a month after the procedure. So she is thinking about getting a person strong enough to carry her to the bathroom and someone that can also cook for Humberto and for her. She knows the right person, she told me. I will go to see her when she wants me to, but I will not get in the middle of the work of her maid and companion. I decided to go in an Uber to doctors and to my exams. I will not go to sleep at Dixie´s until she is well again. But I can go from the doctor to Dixie´s house and visit her for a little while. I offered to go with her to wherever she needs to go prior her procedure but she prefers to do it alone. So I´ll just be waiting just in case she needs me.

She has no choice. Humberto can´t do all the housework she needs and he is working a lot.

That's going to be difficult for Dixie for a while. I'd like to have someone here to help my husband when he comes home; but I don't know where to start looking. Have a good day.

Dixie will be glad for the visits since she has to be in bed that long.

I know. And I can ask her if she has read some of the books I have so that I can take them to her.

If Dixie is in bed for a month, she will appreciate any visits you are able to make.

I know. But I´ll go for short visits as the kitchen and "my" room will be used by the lady who will help her.

I hope she does well after her surgical procedure. It takes awhile to heal, it's good that she has lined up someone to help her full time, she may well need that. You have a good plan to visit with her, she will love seeing you.

I´m sure that she will be fine but these procedures that involve bones, muscles and tendons take some time to heal.
