I am icing my damaged knee right now. It hurts like heck. But the fact is I as able to swim at the pool and loosen it up a bit today.
I spke with a Dr. this morning. She told me it would be OK to swim, so long as I stayed withing the "no pain" range while swimming.
I did so, and really enjoyed it.
I am down to one crutch now when I go out, so I guess I am improving
I think I will wind up having surgery. But please wish me reduced pain when I walk for now.

@Deepizzaguy I hope I can visit again tomorrow. I had too much to do this morning.

I hope your knee feels better soon. I think knee surgeries are better now than when I had mine. Have a good day.

@TheHorse I've had that done. I have some teeny scars on my knee. Good luck.

You should stay with two crutches. Ice is good, and if you can take anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen it’ll help.

Leg problems are just hard. Crutches are no fun. Take good care!

My dentist says there are better procedures now in cleaning up a torn meniscus . . . less invasive apparently? I've been watching a lot of video shorts on FB on various knee exercises for knee issues - and trying them out. I haven't found that perfect one yet.

@TheHorse I never actually got it checked out . I can walk fine, but it can be painful to put a lot weight on it when I bend . . . like going up or down stairs, but not always. Same for particular twisty actions. I love hiking, but I do have to watch on rough terrain.

Gee, you and my royal standard poodle would have had a ball swimming in the pool. We had a place at one of the local lakes and he would pout when we made him get out of the water to go home. His favorite thing was to dive off the end of the dock into the deep end, swim the 12 or 14 feet to the bottom, "rescue" about a ten pound rock and swim back to shore with it. That dog loved to swim and adored the water. When we were in town and the dog was missing we would always find him swimming in the pool. The people running the place gave up trying to keep the dog out, they figured if he swam every day he must be clean. Besides the others loved being towed around the pool by our dog.
Be really careful that you don't drag the injured leg. I've done that and done more horrific damage to the ankle and leg (it's the left ankle and knee that I had to have surgery on last year. The ankle didn't heal properly!) You walk on cement and kind of trip on an uneven patch and the pain is worse than incredible!!!! I'm praying and keeping good thoughts that you don't hurt the injured leg any further and can walk with very little pain and swim with even less pain!!! DON'T BE STUPID LIKE ME AND KEEP TOUGHING IT OUT AND REINJURING THE DARNED THING!!!!! The surgery ain't fun, especially when you get up right after they're done and take yourself to the bathroom and the nurse comes in, catches you, and royally reads you the riot act!!!! I was supposed to use the bed pan. NO WAY, I don't pee in my bed!!!!
