I Took Jay to the Post Office and Hardware Store

This will definitely make some of my friends laugh! I wrote a discussion about leaving my keys inside the ignition of the locked jeep.
Well, Jay got home from the hardware store. He had two sets of keys instead of one set! He usually sits his keys down whenever he's doing business. I never do this!
Now he's sure that his keys were inside his pocket. So, he picked up someone else's set of keys and we headed for home
Jay asked me what I'd recommend. My thoughts were, go back to the Hardware and give them to the man in charge. Someone will surely come back, looking for their lost keys.

I would at least call them and tell them what happened and then take them in as soon as you are able to do so. I have had to get a copy of keys in years but I bet the price has gone up. Hopefully, most people have a duplicate but who knows for sure nowadays?

The keys looked almost the same as Jay's. We took them back to the hardware store.

@kobesbuddy Okay, I misunderstood that, then. I'm glad he didn't loose his keys.

Jay's own keys were in his pocket. The other set of keys, I'm sure the owner will return to find them.

It is easy to make absent minded mistakes when we have a routine, but deviate from it for just a minute. Someone maybe was not able to leave if Jay had their "lost" keys.

I can't afford to lose my keys, even though I don't drive
I keep my on me or hanging on the wall where I KNOW where they are.
