7/24/24 - Update On My Husband

I did not have to go to the rehab facility to sign the request for my husband's medical records. There was a discussion that I have Power of Attorney so I need to sign it; BUT my husband is no longer under the influence of hospital delirium; so he is competent to sign the request. The records must be received in Missouri by July 29; so it will be close. I have requested records from both the Skilled Nursing department and the Physical Therapy department. He continues to do well on steps and getting himself in and our of bed and the wheelchair. Thank you for your continued support, prayers and thoughts. Photo Credit: Pixabay

@LindaOHio Why is a judge involved?

@moffittjc We are appealing their cancellation of benefits as of May 11. This final appeal is like the Supreme Court. It's handled by the US Department of Health and Human Services. They say he doesn't need Skilled Nursing anymore and should be transferred to Long Term Care (which isn't covered by insurance).

Hubby's 2nd cousin sent it Priority Express. It will be there by 6 pm today. It was expensive; but it is what it is.

Good luck with getting it done in time, cause they don't have a time line on what you need done when to get it done on time.
