Yeah we can see through that dogwhistle. Yes she is a black/Asian woman who is currently the US Vice President. Racist Republicans have been quick to say she was a DEI hire. (Diversity, equity, and inclusion) that’s the new term for affirmative action I guess.
We can debate the pros/cons of DEI but Kamala Harris clearly is not one of those. She was a prosecutor who went after sexual assault perpretators. She was a state attorney general. She was a Senator.
Don’t tell me that Kamala being selected as VP was some DEI hire. Yes Biden wanted to broaden the ticket but Kamala was more than able to fill that spot. It wasn’t some pity assignment.
Now she is at the top of the Democrat ticket. The racists are in full color showing themselves. DEI! DEI! Um maybe she is just a very accomplished woman of color. The fundraising numbers after just 2 days seem to indicate that many Americans think so.
You don’t get to be Vice President just because you might be considered a minority. Kamala is great and that is why the GOP is freaking out.

Kamala Harris, as I see her, is a bright woman who is currently the US Vice President. I don´t understand why is it so important in your country whether she is Black, White or Checkered. It is like the genre nonsense. I have always said the the only time that I have been interested in the genre of any person was when it was the genre of my husband. With politics, the important part is what they THINK, not the color of their skin.

@porwest I am not a US citizen as you know. But I can´t but make comparisons with what happens in my country. I don´t know Kamala Harris enough so that I can say whether she is bright enough to be the next US President. In that you are right. But a person who is in this moment the VP of the US, a person who might be the next President of the US, a person who has reached this place in spite of being a woman in your country has to be bright to some point.

"“I love Venn diagrams. I really do, I love Venn diagrams. It’s just something about those three circles and the analysis about where there is the intersection, right?”
“I don’t know what’s wrong with you young people, you think you just fell out of a coconut tree. You exist in the context of all in which you live and what you came before you.”
“Culture is — it is a reflection of our moment in our time, right? And in present culture is the way we express how we’re feeling about the moment.”
"So, I think it’s very important, as you have heard from so many incredible leaders, for us at every moment in time — and certainly this one — to see the moment in time in which we exist and are present, and to be able to contextualize it, to understand where we exist in the history and in the moment as it relates not only to the past but the future.”
All things Kamala Harris has said only she could ever, in a million years, understand. "Bright" is hardly the word I would use to describe her.
As to what is important to the American people is, "Is she qualified to be president of the United States?" The answer is no. So, you're right. It doesn't matter if she is a woman or black or checkered or whatever. It matters that she is not qualified to be president and that she was picked for reasons OTHER than being qualified.
If people want to call it racist or sexist or whatever, they are missing the point. We DON'T choose or judge our leaders based on their race, gender or any other consideration. We choose and judge them based on their qualifications to LEAD, and nothing else.
DEI damn near got a former sitting president killed. Imagine the dangers it poses when DEI is applied to the highest levels of our government?

@marguicha Not when she screwed her way to top with powerful people like mayors and DAs and so on and so forth. Just saying.
She was CONNECTED more than she was ever qualified is what I am saying, and her performance is enough to illustrate that quite clearly.
Her PRIMARY task as VP was to secure the border. Look how well she got that done. lol
And again, Biden did not pick her for her qualifications. He picked her because she was a black woman. Even that's laughable, because in reality, she's not even black. lol

Racist and sexist. There's been some really vile garbage circulating on Facebook for the last couple of days. Trump's crowd seem to think that the way to win an election is to make up any old libellous garbage about the opposition, instead of debating policy.

They have one playbook as do alot of Republicans and that is being nasty with thinly veiled racism thrown in the midst.

From what I understand she has always been a stellar human being.
They interviewed a woman last night who went to school with Kamala.
They became close, close enough for the friend to confide in her that she was being abused at home.
And Kamala simply looked at her and said, then you will have to come and stay with us.
She did that, and they have remained friends ever since.
She has visited her at the white house and may go and listen to her give a speech during the campaign, but she really seemed sincere when she said that she was the kindest most generous person she had ever met.

@NJChicaa I hope so! Apparently Trump already regrets selecting JD Vance
-----------Shady is not turning out well for him. Many people are saying he won't last even one more Scaramucci.
