Jennifer Aniston is pissed about JD Vance's "childless cat lady" comments

The actress is not particularly political but I do understand why she would feel like she had to speak out against VP nominee JD Vance's awful comments about people who are "childless cat ladies" and who supposedly therefore have no stake in the nation's future. For decades people were obsessed with whether Aniston could/would have children. She said several times over the years that she wanted them. She was married twice. She said in a 2022 interview that she tried to become a mother including utilizing IVF which Vance is against. Good for her for slamming Vance's comments. Some women like myself choose to be a childless cat lady. There are many women who struggle to conceive though. It is incredibly insensitive to imply that women without children have something wrong with them, that they are unhappy, and that they have no interest or stake in the future of the country.

I had an ovarian tumor, which cost me the ability to reproduce. I guess that makes me worthless in the GOP’s eyes, so they won’t want my vote…. PS: I told you they didn’t want Harris because they’d end up making a slur. Didn’t think it would be (a) Vance or (b) this quickly.

Of course they were going to slur. It is in their DNA. Look at all of the claims already that she is a DEI hire.

@NJChicaa — which I find hilarious, given that she’s been “one heartbeat away from the presidency” for over three years….

That's a very offensive comment even if it isn't meant personally against you.

I don't blame her. That was a ridiculous and offensive comment. I was just reading something the other day that the happiest people are single women and married men.

It isn't a new comment. He made it back in 2019 but it has resurfaced. It just shows how nuts these MAGA idiots are. I don't understand how any woman could vote for them.

Wow. I guess men will continue forever in trying to control women. I love how the cat lady biz is taking off. What a way to lose a war, Vance, or whatever your name is these days.

It truly boggles my mind that there are women in this country (and men who love women) that would vote for these types of men.

What an insensitive, cruel remark to make about Jennifer Aniston! My son and his wife want children, but haven't been able to. Their hearts ache over this! Nobody knows how painful this is, until they've experience it:(

Vance didn't make it about Aniston specifically. He actually referred to politicians like Kamala, AOC, and even Pete Buttigieg. Aniston spoke out though since it is known that she wanted children and was unable to have them.

@NJChicaa Jennifer Aniston was speaking out, on behalf of Kamala Harris. I like both of these women for their extreme intelligence and courage!

We chose to be childless too; but we always had dogs. I don't blame Aniston for being offended. Have a good weekend.

Mr Vance seems to be a rather rude person. It doesn´t matter whether a person chooses to be childless or can´t have children. Either way it is a person issue and not something that a possible VP has to talk about. I don´t pray. But if I did, I now would have to pray AGAINST Trump AND Vance. The list is getting bigger.

Just more endless banter to make people out to be evil characters. It's what happens when "your side" has NOTHING else to campaign on. Sure, she may not be political. BUT, of course, anyone associated in any way with Trump is going to be a target for such nonsense as this.

Calling someone out for disparaging women who don't have children isn't "nonsense".

@porwest The point is that it was an offensive thing to say. Women are worth more than just their ability to bear children. Having children doesn't magically make a woman a better person or worthy person or whatever. Whether or not a woman has children is neither here nor there. Trump needs independents and women to vote for him. That kind of comment isn't going to attract those voters.

@NJChicaa Yes. It is. Nonsense. It's just more endless finger pointing and look at him, he's a bad guy. It's nitpicking and everyone knows it. What are some horrible things Hillary said? Did anyone on your side care? No. Has Biden said some horrible things? Yes. Did anyone on your side care? No. Has Harris said some horrible things? Yes. Did anyone on your side care? No. THAT'S the point. FOCUS ON THE POLICIES AND STOP THE ENDLESS HATE! If your side had something to run on, they would be able to focus on THAT. They don't, and that's why this is all they ever have. Name calling. Accusation. Innuendo. Finger pointing. GET TO WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO FOR AMERICA OR SHUT THE HELL UP BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE TIRED OF IT. lol
