The scale is my friend today

I've stopped weighing myself every morning. I just don't care. As long as I can fit into my pants then I'm good. Some things I can't even wear out in public because they could fall down at any given moment. Anyway this morning I decided to weigh myself just to see what the number was. 183 pounds. I'll take it. My 20 year old self wouldn't be happy with that weight but my 47 year old one is good with it. Even my size 12 pants are too big. I will have to buy new ones for the upcoming school year. 180 is my realistic goal so I'm about there. My fantasy goal is 160 but that would be like me having to lose a bunch of muscle that I worked really hard for. I'm good with 180. Most people who see me in person and learn what my weight is don't even believe it. I carry it well. The scale is fickle though so who knows what it will say in a week. For today, though, I'm happy with it.

My scale is a nice addition to the bathroom but I weight myself every 3 or 4 months. As you just said, clothes tell us what we need to know. And if you have some clothes that could fall off, it means that you are fine

I still weight myself daily probably shouldn't but I do. Good for you deciding what works well for you

@mom210 I was a rack of skin and bones. My doctor felt that cancer might be the root cause. Instead, it's a digestive disease, I don't absorb all foods that are consumed. I weighed 88 pounds. Now, I weigh myself every day I'm fearful of looking like a corpse!

I weigh most days which is a bit silly I know but I can't resist. I seem to have reached a weight which is okay for me. I have found it nearly impossible to get below it.

183 is an excellent weight for you! And you already know, that muscle weighs more than fat. If you were at 160 pounds without muscle mass, you wouldn't be happy! You look excellent, just the way you are:) You worked hard to build up those muscles, it would be a crying shame to give them up!

Kudos for getting near your goal weight. I lost 25 pounds but have been sticking around that weight for quite some time. It's really hard to lose when you can't get around well. Have a good weekend.
