TTC Journey Update

Hello everyone, how are you all doing? I shared recently an update on my health and TTC journey, but wanted to talk more about the topic. If you don't know, TTC is trying to conceive. What I didn't know is how hard it would be. With Eli, we tried for a few months and then once we started just using an app to find what time would be right to conceive, it worked that cycle. It's been tough this time around though because I got off birth control in May, but haven't had a "cycle" really since April. I think I had one earlier this month but it was very short. I have been testing my LH to see when it rises, which tells you when you should ovulate (not that you will/have). I was worried though because I was seeing a lot of days where my tests were low. Now, I am seeing many high tests. I didn't know that they were supposed to stay high for this long. Anyways - I am hoping tomorrow they start to go down again. I am also tracking BBT (or basal body temperature) which is supposed to confirm if you have ovulated by temperature raising for 3 days in a row. So yes, very confusing stuff! What do you think of all of this? Have you tracked LH and/or BBT if you have tried to conceive, or know someone that does/did? Image is mine - screen shot of my LH tests in the app I use (Premom)

My sister did all of that and when she stopped trying and worrying about it is when she got pregnant.

Well I tried the not worrying about it and that never worked for me. And I mostly have been tracking since I didn't know what my body was doing after getting off of birth control.

Once you get a high, you're not supposed to test. Same woth positive pregnancy tests, people think continuing to test and them getting darker means twins or a healthy baby and that is not accurate. It just means, yes you're pregnant. I tested ovulation using premom tests. And the clearblue digital. Clearblue was more accurate. You very well could be having trouble due to wrong timing, not being off birthcontrol long enough or secondary infertility. But I hope you get your positive test soon. Baby dust!

Well this is the first "cycle" really after getting off of it, so I just wanted to see what was going on, and I wanted to just see if it was going back down. I tracked last month too and did see a "peak" it just wasn't very high. And I just like the data, another reason I weigh daily even though I know once a week would be better. Premom is good too, I wasn't sure between those and easy at home. Was also going with the cheaper options, I would have liked to use the clearblue. Oh I sure hope that is not the case, but I know it can happen.... I just hope that things worked out this cycle.

@Courtlynn No update yet...I'll be testing in about a week if I don't start the next cycle by then. I don't want to test too soon though. I know I should wait until I miss it...but I am impatient. Well all I can say is we done what we needed to and in the right timing....so really hoping it worked. I know realistically it probably won't right away...but it also could happen this fast. so I really don't know

I’ve never tried to have a baby so I wouldn’t know any of these things very well. It’s definitely interesting to read about.

well I am glad that it is interesting to read about. I asked these questions on the app where you put your info and nobody answered...so thought I would bring the subject here

@AmbiePam Well so far not here, and nobody is replying to me on the app unfortunately. That is okay. However I am thinking tomorrow I start the long 2 week wait to see if I am pregnant or not.

I've never tried to get pregnant. It seems that you're doing all you can which is good. I hope it works out for you. Have a great weekend.

Well it can be complicated for sure. Some are lucky and it happens the first time without "trying". Hoping it's worked this time but don't know...
