Mackenzie Petrie who is employed by Albany Georgia television station WALB television contacted the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) on Monday July 15 when she saw an alligator crawling on U S Highway 19 in Albany Georgia. By the time the officials with the DNR arrived at the scene of the incident, the gator was in a grassy area trying to avoid being caught by the DNR officials before the alligator was captured and removed by the officials, placed into a vehicle and moved to another area safely. An alligator on a highway, maybe taking a trip to another pond, which seemingly, was achieved with some help from the officials.
