Edwardo Hernanez who is a police officer in Colony Texas answered an emergency call from an eyewitness named Jersey Goldman who was saw that a male driver who was inside a burning auto that was trapped the concrete barrier of a highway on Friday overnight on Friday July 19. Officer Hernandez with the assistance of first responders tried to put out the fire when he realized that the car had an electric battery inside which the officer decided to risk his life by pulling the injured driver out of the burning auto. The driver was then taken by an ambulance to a local hospital with injuries. .The injured is alert and is expected to make a full recovery. Another police officer who was at the scene of the accident was taken to a local hospital for smoke inhalation and is expected to make a full recovery. I am sure that Officer Hernandez will receive a lifesaving award from his superiors at police headquarters in a ceremony in the near future. Link is msn.com/en-us/news/us/...

How do people get themselves in such hair-raising situations? Fires are scary. I really wonder how good these fancy batteries are going to be in the long run. How many things like this are going to happen?

That is my concern about owning an electric car.

@Deepizzaguy .....I think that would be a very valid concern for anyone in the market for a car these days. I think I would have to have the car company sign a waiver stating that they are fully to blame if anything like this post happened to me.

@celticeagle I am in agreement with you since I do not understand how electric cars work in the first place.

Is there any more terrifying way to die other than fire? I’d be thanking the officer, and then I’d show up at church, first service.
