What's for dinner? July 26

What's going on the dinner table tonight? I want to know!
I'm trying to use up stuff in the fridge so I'm making spinach and ricotta gnocchi with a fresh sage and butter sauce. They are tasty meatless "meatballs". I love this recipe. You can have these little dumplings with pasta or entirely on their own. You can have them with a red sauce or a sage-butter sauce. They are very versatile as long as you are a grown up who can handle eating spinach.
I will likely just have them with the sage butter sauce. I don't need pasta or bread to go with them.
That's what is happening here. What are YOU having? Do tell!

I love gnocchi. There is an Italian restaurant nearby that makes them just like mom used to make. My mom was a terrible cook; but she made great gnocchi. For lunch I had Meals on Wheels chicken patty sandwich; and for dinner I had my usual PB&J sandwich. Have a good weekend.

We have my BIL and his daughter coming tonight. Vince is cooking a rack of lamb with vegies and we've bought half a cheesecake for dessert. I know we should make it but this time we're buying it.

I made fettuccine Alfredo for dinner, and then realized my daughter had set out some salmon filets to thaw. So we baked some salmon in the air fryer and had that with our Alfredo noodles.

At this very moment I am frowning at my toaster oven. I guess all second hand toaster ovens have to die sometime. But why today?? I poked two little home made mashed potato pot pies in the oven and half an hour later the pastry is not the way it should be. Grrrrr. I turned on the regular big oven and possibly will be finishing the pies in there. I was going to half a pie and use it as a side for other things like faux meatballs maybe.
