Shrapnel or Bullet? Who Cares?

What exactly is on the mind of the FBI as director Wray is now wanting to interview Trump to determine whether his injury was due to a bullet hitting his ear or shrapnel? What is the point? Is it to find a way to dismiss the severity of the event and make it less impacting or significant as to what really happened? Does it really matter? Hardly. Even if it was shrapnel, the fact is that the shrapnel was caused by a bullet, that was one among eight shots fired that injured the former president, two bystanders, and killed one. The fact is that Thomas Matthews Crooks was KNOWN to be present and suspicious for 57 minutes before the first shot was fired, and that there was a catastrophic failure on the part of the Secret Service to secure a proper perimeter and identify Crooks as a threat. In fact, during all this going on, including spectators pointing out Crooks on the roof he shot from, minutes before Trump was allowed to enter the stage, is also a major issue. They still allowed Trump to enter the stage like nothing was out of the ordinary. It's simply, to my mind, a non-issue. Look, if we want to know more about the nature of Trump's injury, that's fine. But the time to do that is AFTER we have learned all of the other MORE important information about what happened, and how it was ALLOWED to happen. If there was no bullet flying through the air, shrapnel would not also have been flying through the air. The issue here is not what injured Trump. It was that a 20-year old man was able to fire eight rounds at a former president. Beyond that, why don't we ask the sniper what he saw BEFORE the first shot was fired since he shot Crooks SECONDS after the shooting started. How did he find him so fast to kill him and what did he see in his scope before he fired the fatal shot that killed Crooks? In order for the sniper to have acted so quickly, he would have had to have the target in his sights long before he fired the kill shot.

it's the law. I'll never understand it. I guess they want to prove he wasn't shot at. Which is moot. We need to figure out how it happened, so it can't happen again.

We need to find out who planned and paid for it.

It was quickly released, following this post, that Wray confirmed it was indeed a bullet that grazed Trump's ear. I still question his motivations for this question, though.

@xander6464 I believe it was a lone actor acting on his own. That seems clear. I have heard all sorts of innuendo that this was an inside job, and while some evidence does seem to support that, I am not inclined to believe it. Yet.

the point of the matter is that they got the guy on the 1st shot & he's no longer a threat from what he was set out to do & the S S & others were told about him WAY B-4 the 1st shot & they SHOULD have taken him out ANY means they had but they waited & they were put in a spot that failed protection. So that put them on the spot to answer questions that they couldn't answer, so that put THEM in the spot light & it's just another thing to keep your attention on what happens next, so you don't focus on the main things going on.

The elusiveness of the Secret Service following the incident seems to suggest there are a LOT more answers we REALLY need to know. Hopefully we get them.

We need to get to the oranges of this. Who on the Trump team paid that kid to get Project 2025 out of the news?

@porwest Project 2025 is NOT a Trump manifesto, nor is it supported by Trump or related to Trump in any way. It's not his platform and is not the platform of the Republican party. It is a manifesto written by The Heritage Foundation. Beyond that, what does it have to do with this post? --------It IS a Trump Manifesto. "Beyond that, what does it have to do with this post?" -------------I'm trying to refocus your deluded ramblings into something useful.

I'm trying to refocus your deluded ramblings into something useful. @xander6464 To do that you'd have to be truthful and use your brain. Of course, that is impossible, but you can keep trying.

I don’t think it is a non-issue. Trump is out there claiming to have taken a bullet for America when that isn’t true.

Don't be an idiot. It was confirmed he was struck by a bullet. Dislike the man, but we're talking about an ASSASSINATION attempt here. When it comes to that sort of thing, you don't take sides. And even YOUR side understood that. Their questions were just as scathing and hard as the ones asked by Republicans in the hearings. BECAUSE assassination attempts are NOT a partisan matter.

Wray: Why did you move your head to the right, Donald? Trump: Why did you let Cheatle station Crooks on the sloped rooftop? Wray: Why, on earth, you missed the bullet and only grazed your bloody ear?!!! Trump: Well, I turned my head. Wray: Why did you turn your head Mr Trump? Trump: Ayay-yay y yay... oi, Wray. By the grace of our Great God Almighty, I am living and facing your crooked ugly face today.

This, I've got to see. Trump's MAGA have been put in the lion's den, blazing hot furnace, in paranoid Biden's "bull's eye'" evil threats. We must be watchful, stand still... be ready... After being saved from an assasinatoon attempt, Trump often points out: "By the grace of God Almighty, I am alive today". This is very important for us, who understand, to hear and see.

@porwest Exactly right, Jim. This whole thing is certainly NOT all about Trump. And Trump humbly sees that after God’s miraculous deliverance of him. But we do not know why another innocent man’s life, Corey’s, was taken. Like what Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders said at the RNC—GOD has a great plan and He’s making that happen through and through, from beginning to the end. And you’re right, vast majority of people, not only in America, but also all over the world must see and understand Truth and turn our hearts to GOD.

I think not only Trump, but certainly the vast majority of the American people, fully understand the gravity of what happened, and what almost happened, on July 13th in Butler, PA.

I agree that it doesn't matter what hit Trump in the ear. I think they're saying not that it probably was a bullet or bullet fragment. But the investigation should be thorough. Where did each bullet wind up? How did a "person of interest" wind up on top of a building with a sight line to Mr. Trump an those around him. I am not ever sure how long it took for the Secret Service guy to take out Crooks. I read somewhere that it was several seconds after the first shot-like maybe 15, which is an eternity in such a situation. Maybe I'll go down that worm hole after Guitar Center. I gotta head out.

The fact that the Secret Service was quite elusive in their answers following this seems to suggest there is quite a bit to know here that is probably of extreme importance for the American people to know. We need those answers.
