Club Stores

When I was a kid back in the late 1960's and early 1970's my family had a membership at a club store called Memco. I was so nice, I liked going there. I guess the prices were lower, I don't know I was a kid. I didn't pay I just followed the adults and would ask if I could have something if I saw it, lol
Then I remember they closed down.
As an adult and I had two school aged boys, my friend had a membership to a new club store called Costco which is still around here. My friend gave me his guest pass and I would take my boys there and they had lots of carts, some had grills if needed. We walked around there all day and get samples of various kinds of food.
There were lots of carts there, not so much anymore since the Pandemic. But we would leave and I would ask my boys what they wanted for lunch and they would say nothing, they were full !!!
Sometime later there were other places, BJ's and then Sam's club!
Do you have any club stores in your area? Do you have memberships there? Which one's?

My relatives and myself used to go to Sam's Club in Kenner Louisiana which is a suburb of New Orleans. Even though there is a Sam's Club in Lake Charles, my relatives and myself shop at Wal Mart,.

@dfollin That is true that Wal Mart owns Sam's Club. Great place to shop.

We have BJ's and Sam's Club. I think there might be a Costco some distance from us. We no longer have a membership at any club stores. Have a good weekend.

We had a BJ's membership before we lived here. Now our apartment is too small to buy in bulk.

We have BJ's here. No Costco or Sam's. We do have a membership to bjs and we were going to cancel it but apparently it was paid cuz my mom wants to keep it one more year at least.. even though we don't use it

@dfollin no lol. We stopped going cause we really only went for a certain deli ham we could only get there
