A bonanza for birds

Our Hawthorn tree is laden with fruit (clusters of tiny orange berries) and the birds simply love them. Through one of our windows I can see birds approaching and having a ball.
A Hawthorn tree is ideal for creating a bonsai and that is what is used at bonsai classes. I attended one class but gave up as I see how the tree is being tortured, cutting branchs and roots.
Do you like bonsai?

I just wonder can bonsai plant be planted inside house? I mean the dwarf ones
