The other day when I got my eyes examined the doctor said that I could either have bifocal with a line through them glasses or ones with out a line. When he went and gave the lady in the office that put's the prescription in the computer to order he told her to put in the ones with the line because they would be cheaper for me to get. Then I was telling my mom about it today and she said that that both her and my grandmother were both given them and that they couldn't deal with them. They made them both dizzy and nauseas. Then I was talking to my sister and she said she has the glasses with the line in them and it took her a few weeks to get used to them so they didn't give her the same effect. However I already have dizziness issues with skull fractures and a busted ear drumb that rings all the time! Therefore I am going to have to call the eye doctor's office on Monday and see if they will change the prescription to no line and see what the difference in cost will be.

I have only ever had the no line bifocals. I did not have trouble with them but my mom and sister could not deal with them. They did better with the line. Glasses are very expensive for me because of some of my corrections, but I get my wear out of them. Every day, all the time I have them on.

Hopefully, they won’t give give you trouble. I’m still peeved at that nurse who was so rude to you.

When I had them, I had both versions. Line or no line, you'll have to get used to moving your eyes and using eye muscles to look through the portion you need when you need to use it. If using eye muscles is a problem, then it might be better to have two pair with the full lense and swap them out as you need them.

I have just plain glasses I have worn for most of my life, Never would like bifocals, My eyes have gotten stronger and when I read in bed I can do so without any glasses,

They should be willing to change it to what you want. Good luck.
