Milagros, the lady who want to sell my house Scanned all the blueprints I had.
She had given me an approximate value of the house and then some weeks later, told me that it was worth much less.
She then told me that she had checked the blueprints and told me that my house was smaller than what I had told her. But I discovered that her knowledge was before we had built more.
Today I told her that if I sold at that price, I would not have money to buy a much smaller house and remodel it.
I´m happy for my extra money because I can say exactly what I want. I am in no hurry to sell.
So she understaood and scanned everything. She will look for other papers. Many times, people are not willing to work a little more to chack all that is needed.
I will relax now and hope that the house is sold when I want, at the price I want and near Dixie. If I don´t find that, I will wait.
I´m now eating a late lunch. I heated part of the escalivada and some bread. And I have a cup of coffee at my side.

I know that. And, as I said, I´m in no hurry. I could live years with the money that my daughter gave me back. And I am in no need of luxuries.

What this lady did not know is that when my husband was alive, this was our job. We built houses and then sold them.

I liked the first appraisal she gave me. But then she told me that it was worth a tiny bit more than much smaller houses on the neighborhood. I told her yesterday that in that case I would not sell it.

Well, I don't know much about house selling I also had a real estate company in Latvia doing the selling for my house there, It was an old house and I could not upkeep it myself and as often happens in Latvia the house was mine but not the land it was the city's. I got lucky because the new family had children and wanted the space so they were willing to take on the purchase of the land and they paid me a bit less than what my mom and I had originally paid for the house but that is something that often happens there, I was glad for every penny.

I have worked in real estate along with my husband when he was alive. He built houses or remodeled them and we sold them. I own this house and the land with no mortgage. So it will be easy to sell. And I have money to live well without selling so I´ll wait for my price.

That's a good plan. Have a price in mind consider the probable time of sale and the house condition. Like I mentioned before, see if slight repairs or rennovations can help to fetch a better sale value .If it does , go for it else do not bother but ensure to keep the house in good condition. Wait for the time and there should be someone who would be interested in the house. Till then , we wait and enjoy the time. Do not sell the house for lesser price as it would help you at all.
