I was listening to my usual late-night YouTube favorite, The Dirty Stay Ups and Crickett had a question about 'the spoon theory'. I have never heard of it before. It is a figure of speech that explains "the limited energy resources of people living with chronic illness, chronic pain, and disability." The theory estimates the amount of spoons individual tasks require and it helps people coping with these chronic illnesses visualize their total daily energy. They have a limited amount of spoons and must ration their energy.
Christine Miserandino came up with this theory. It was used in a 2003 essay the American writer used to describe her experience with chronic illness using the spoons as a unit of energy. Some activities affect your moods differently. Twelve spoons are your energy amount. You basically have to list energy expulsion and how you expel energy during your day. How many spoons(or how much energy reserves it will take to do a certain activity.)
I can't see myself doing this every day. I feel like I am an organized person but having to figure how many spoons a given activity is going to take a lot more thought and effort than I am will to give every day. Have you heard of this theory? Do any of you see where this theory might be of help to you on a daily basis?

Sounds a bit complex for me. I do keep note of how my mood is when I wake up and see how it escalates or goes down during the day and note how I am at the end of the day, It helps me regulate my anxiety quite well,
