Without doubt , internet access provide individual with opportunities for learning , career , ecommerce etc. In fact , these days many critical services such as healthcare and banking mostly depend on online access. No one is carrying hard money and it is mostly digital and shown in our bank logins. In this digital era, it would be hard to ignore the internet.
However, there are regions across the world where internet is considered as a luxury. There is restriction of freedom of expression as well free flow of information. However, what is not considered by the authorities in these regions are lack of internet access only exacerbate social and economic challenges and inequalities.
Governments across the world should consider internet access as a basic human right and invest in the necessary infrastructure across the globe to ensure universal connectivity. What would be your take on same?

It should be open in very rural areas.

But not necessarily sponsored by the government IMO. If it is the right investment for Internet providers to make to expand their infrastructure into less accessible areas, then it makes sense. Any time the government gets involved in things, they get screwed up.

Total agree. There are many countries where internet is limited to urban areas. Government needs to ensure there is infrastructure to support basic internet surfing even if it is not 5G or 6 G. Thanks for sharing!

@RevivedWarrior I disagree. Internet should be available where it is PROFITABLE.

I agree it should not be a basic right. However, the government needs to ensure that the internet is available in most parts of country. There are many countries where internet connectivity is limited to urban areas. However, I totally agree the utility needs to be bore by consumers. Thanks for sharing!

For some reason I am also doubtful if in case one day we are restricted to purchase as we cross the limit, and what if one day we did not have electricity supply for many months
