Should we not consider internet access as a basic human right from here on?

Without doubt , internet access provide individual with opportunities for learning , career , ecommerce etc. In fact , these days many critical services such as healthcare and banking mostly depend on online access. No one is carrying hard money and it is mostly digital and shown in our bank logins. In this digital era, it would be hard to ignore the internet. However, there are regions across the world where internet is considered as a luxury. There is restriction of freedom of expression as well free flow of information. However, what is not considered by the authorities in these regions are lack of internet access only exacerbate social and economic challenges and inequalities. Governments across the world should consider internet access as a basic human right and invest in the necessary infrastructure across the globe to ensure universal connectivity.
