Jay Stone who resides in Forsyth County in North Carolina was in his home on Sunday in May when he and his wife were going to visit a doctor since his blood pressure was high and he was not feeling well when suddenly Jay suffered a heart attack. Jay's youngest son who did not give out his name who has studied rescue breathing or CPR while Jay's daughter called 911 to ask for help. Jay's youngest son as well as the wife of his next door neighbor came to assist Jay's son to give him CPR until the first responders came to assist Jay during his trouble. After 45 minutes of CPR and six shocks from an AED machine to stabilize Jay and take him to a local hospital where Jay several blockages and needed three stents in his heart. Jay made a full recovery from his heart attack scare thanks to the work of his son and the wife of his next door neighbor, he would have passed away. Link is msn.com/en-us/health/o...

That is why CPR should be taught in schools. I took all of the CPR courses I could get.

I am in agreement with you that CPR courses are needed to be in schools today since I never had to take CPR courses in school before.

A good outcome that his son knew what to do, and was confident to do it. A lot of us know what to do, having learnt this years ago, but have lost confidence in really applying it, if the need come up. I learnt it 40 years ago, and I guess things have changed sine then, so I would not be confident doing this now either.

I know what you mean since it is one deal to practice CPR but when an emergency strikes it is a test of nerves.
