Before I went on my eleven minute walk, I found a package outside my door that was my new modem from Xfinity. All it came with was a little card, no instructions. 
. So I tromped upstairs to see my tech savvy neighbor, who came down and spent at least an hour hooking the modem up and trying to get me on the Internet, but couldn't.

Well, have you tried calling the company? Usually once everything's physically connected you have to call and activate it.

Call xfinity to have them activate it. I do hope you get it working.
