You may or may not know there's some serious civil unrest in many cities here in the UK. Not going to go into what sparked it off you can google it if you care to. Protesting is different to rioting. At the moment there are police cars on fire shops looted and major sh!t happening. This is not good, no matter the issue there's no excuse for ruining businesses and burning cars etc. These idiots don't seem to get that burning police cars cost taxpayers money.

I agree, I think US can understand. Was January 6th protesting or rioting? The difference is easy to see. No one kills law enforcement bound by a oath if it is protesting. In riots they do.

In my opinion jan 6 in the US was maybe a protest then turned into a riot.

@Mike197602 How ever you see it, riots not hard to figure compared to a protest. However it started too. The worse things about protests is they could turn into a riot.

Those who riot and destroy buildings and businesses should be prosecuted and made to pay for the repairs.

they've all been remanded in custody before their trials which is relatively unusaual.

You know, they really don't care. They are angry and hurt about what's going on and how it's impacted their lives. So, they lash out hoping to cause pain with pain.

@Mike197602 Sometimes you forget, we're humans. But Darwin had the right idea suggesting we are also animals.

I am in agreement with that a peaceful protest is the correct way to settle a dispute. Burning down buildings is going too far.

I have been saying that all along. Now you are joining the party. LOL Not all taxpayers are rich. Moreover, the taxes, if not used once more to buy another car for the police, could have been invested in something that helps them only, like job creation, or healthcare. So, destroying public property is extremely low IQ. As to businesses and burning others cars, why on earth would you hurt somebody you don't know? That disturbs their lives! The lives of their children. And insurance companies usually have a clause in fine print, stating that damage due to riots will not be reimbursed. I thought, you all were more sophisticated than us Indians. Turns out you all are presuming such behavior to be eastern wisdom, and importing it. Here, though, it is politically sponsored and is aimed to show that ruling party is failing to do the right things. They even burn old truck tires and plastic bottles ..imagine how much of pollution. Finally, we humans have to accept that racial differences exist. The way to get acceptance by other races is not only through law, but also through taking pride in skin color, and doing everything that would make others of the same skin proud, and make others appreciate and respect us for that. Like the dark skinned athletes....don't people love them, despite their skin color?

Definitely not good at all. I have not heard of it as I have been extremely busy but I'm suddenly reminded of the riots in Paris.
