8/5/24 - Update On My Husband

When I called yesterday, he was eating his lunch. I called back twice; and there wasn't an answer. He either was sleeping or didn't feel like talking to me.
He is on oxygen, his chest is congested, he's dizzy and is doing a lot of coughing. I have no idea when he will be released from the hospital. His AFIB is now under control; and his heart rate was around 80...much better than 130-140.
The physical therapy records reached their destination mid-morning on Saturday. Since the office was closed, they will attempt to deliver today. I hope the judge got my message and will accept the records.
The concrete guy said he will try to put up the handrails for the second set of stairs on Monday. If I can get the second half of my Walmart order processed (it's been 5 days now), I will get a grab bar installed in the shower.
Thank you for your continued prayers, support and thoughts.

They tell me that covid is exhausting, he could be suffering from that aspect of it.
You have done so much to prepare for him to come back home again, so that he can get along when the time comes.
I hope that you have kept up with your boosters to the vaccine, the last thing that you need is to get covid.

@LindaOHio Really, that surprises me.
I have always kept up on getting my booster shots every 6 months, although my husband didn't get his last one. he thinks that he is protected with what he has, but he is wrong.

I asked my PCP about getting the 2nd booster (we've had 2 shots and 1 booster). She said with all the variants, it really won't matter if we get the booster or not.

@LindaOHio I hate to say it, but his coming home seems to be becoming less and less likely.

The judge said "no"; and Walmart doesn't know what the problem is with my order.

So many little details and they all add up. You are doing a good job trying to get what is right for him. He is getting good care at the hospital. I hope he is well soon.

I may have asked this, but have they considered a pacemaker or something to control his AFIB, or is he too “something” (too old, too medically fragile, whatever) or it?

He will be weak for quite a while. I will need to fetch and carry for him instead of the other way around!

The judge said "no", the handrails are still not installed on the lower steps; and my Walmart order keeps getting canceled; and they can't seem to figure out why. I'm still hoping my hubby comes home soon.
