Yesterday, I watched a report on TV about something unusual that happened to a family with an electric car. The father was driving from one city to another, and with him in the car were two small children. The dashboard showed that the battery charge was at 80%. The reporter said that with that battery charge, it would be possible to make the trip back and still take the kids to a park near their home. However, that wasn't possible... The car stopped, and the driver took advantage of being on a slope to pull the car over to the side and check the battery charge, which to his surprise was at 0%. He had to call for a tow truck. Do you trust electric cars?

I think there are still a lot of kinks and bugs to be worked out before EVs are EVER practical on a large scale. IF they will ever be practical on a large scale. My take is, if you want something as a commuter car to go relatively short distances, perhaps it is a viable option. But for more utility and longer trips, you really need a gasoline powered vehicle.

Oh my is that how electric cars work? If that is the case then its not advisable to use them for longer trips or the driver must have with him the charger ...
