The ridgegourd or jhinge in monsoon are delicious

I entered the ridgegourd the jhinge plantations in the east. As they are watery vegetables the soils are very heavily watered. The entire plantations are look like a green cluster in the middle of paddy fields and other farmlands. The ridgegourds are really tasty.

Sponge gourd, ridge gourd and long beans will be mostly available in the market now and one thing I like is there are some sponge gourds which really give good scent... and I love it when it cook with smoke fishes

thanks tabitha there is a lovely dish in bengal called jhinge posto aloo where poppy seed paste is given on ridgegourd and potatoes
