I think that is a wonderful plan, and more and more people are following that dream. One of my best friends bought some land, is growing her own food, and has become very self sufficient. She still works as a nurse, but coming home to her own space has been a dream for her.

Maybe, I have done both, I somewhat prefer city life although country life is OK. If I had a partner I might prefer it. There are some things I do really appreciate about it like peace and quiet and lack of crime.

Yeh of course with partner and small kids its makes sense. Living alone will be a nightmare.

It varies from person to person. Some people prefer the hustle and bustle of city life, while others prefer a more peaceful, laid-back lifestyle outside the city.
Try it out first, and see if that’s truly the life you want
