A Wedding Anniversary to Remember

First of all we've been married for 34 years and 4&1/2 hours. What? Yah, our wedding was at 1:00P on a Saturday afternoon. Jay lived one block from our church, he was almost late
My father was proud, giving their 38 year old daughter away:) (Again?) Yes Dad, please don't bring that up, OK?
Both Jay and I had been married before, so we really didn't want a big shindig. Our first weddings were small, so this one shouldn't be a big deal.
Yes, it went by fast. The church women and my mother put on a very nice meal.
Jay's mother and his sister Laura came for the wedding. His mother arrived by Greyhound bus in Bay City on Friday.
And Laura flew into Detroit Metropolitan Airport, at midnight on Friday evening. Jay and I went to pick her up, I was falling asleep
Thank God, we finally got some rest before our big day
Jay and I left our guests and headed to a Bed and Breakfast in Cadillac, Michigan. This was a very nice place, it was all decked out in antique furniture.
The next morning, Mike and Kathy provided us with a lovely continental breakfast.
It was a good experience, so we went back and stayed there for our first three Anniversaries.
Why did we stop going to that Bed and Breakfast? Because they closed up, sad but true
We went nowhere and did nothing, for our 34th Anniversary.

You have just a few on me and Bob. We were, or he was, busy picking up family from the airport in Wichita the night before, and got lost trying to get back to our town. I think he drove almost all night. It has been a few years since we have done anything much for our anniversary. Covid closed our favorite place down.

We would usually go to a China Buffet in Bay City. This year, we just stayed home and I'm not disappointed. As we get older, celebrating isn't like it used to be.

Congratulations to both of you . Happy Wedding Anniversary . Personally, I do not have any who has celebrated 34 years of blissful married life. There are times we cannot do nothing on special days . However, if i read above, it looks like both of you had some fun with people joining in as well. If not , We can be together our loved one and talk about the best times in the journey so far. It could be insightful as well. I hope other wise you loved the day enjoyed the wonderful time. Once again , Happy Wedding Anniversary!
