An insignificant flower but at least it's a flower

I don’t have much garden in our present place although I’m working on getting a living wall soon. However, I do have several of what you see in the collage. I think they are kalanchoes. Someone on myLot was able to identify them for me some time ago but I've forgotten the name now. The plant in the photo on the left shows much more colour but perhaps they’re more red in summer. I planted several of these in the ground outside our bedroom window and three took it upon themselves to grow a flower spike. The flowers are very insignificant. The red leaves are much more attractive.

That's true and plants with varietagated leaves also give a colour boost.

They are quite strange looking. In the pot, you can see how the one plant has multiplied.

@porwest @changjiangzhibin89 was able to identify it. Desert cabbage and paddle plant are commonn names and it's one of the Kalanchoe family - Kalanchoe luciae. So now we both know.

@JudyEv They look familiar though. Not sure what they would be called or what family they would fit in with.

I have one sort of kalanchoes called the flower of longevity here.Yours is beautiful ! I find a link about it.
Kalanchoe luciae (Paddle Plant) is an eye-catching succulent that forms rosettes of fleshy, grey-green to yellowish-green leaves with red ...

It is quite a pretty looking plant. It almost seems as though the planter is getting full and could be separated. You can use those in your living wall. What is on the right side of the photo?

@JudyEv I think that the one singular plant is the parent to the ones in the pot, they look like they are the same.

I did separate the plants in the pot and they're now all in the garden with the one that's flowering. I'm not sure what you mean by right side of the photo. There is the hedge and some sort of grassy/reedy plant.

Looks like succulent . It has a nice bright colour. Not sure if i have seen much bright ones earlier . One of the good things about succulents are they need less water and survive well in arid conditions. They have the capability to retain water for a longer time. But the part is succulents have excellent air purifying qualities and perhaps best for indoor deocrations. It would be interesting to see these in your vertical garden. Would love to see your garden updates !

Many wild plants can make the walls of the house more alive, sometimes the color of the leaves is more attractive than the color of the flowers. I like collecting and planting flowers because I was exposed to my mother's hobby lol
