What's in a Picture?

We all play with AI generated images a little bit. Let's admit it, it's always an original picture, it's yours, and they are often times just a hoot to look at and dissect.
Take this picture, which I have kindly stolen from our friend @thislittlepennyearns, which has many details that I find peculiar or funny. It is what was generated when she typed in the command, "Tenth Doctor and Taylor swift eating Big Mac's in Paris."
For one thing, the Doctor is sucking his fries through a straw. They are eating at a table in the middle of the street. There's no way Taylor is holding that burger with one hand without making a mess of it, and it's almost as big as her head.
I think the most fun with AI is just seeing what it comes up with.

I can´t play with the AI and I confess I dread AI a lot. It seems that it can make a funny picture such as the one here, but it can also make a lot of mischief everywhere. I´d ban it.

@marguicha Not good. Like I said, I have a lot of personal issues with the use of it.

@porwest It is a pity that things that can be so useful are used in such horrible ways.

I avoid AIs. But your post convinced me more to stay away from it. Who knows, I might change my mind.

I have never played with AI. I wouldn't even begin to know how to do something like that.

@porwest I guess I could try it out if I used Bing, but I don't, so I guess I'll just be left in the dark. haha

@moffittjc So far as I know, AI is accessible in other places. Not sure where. But so I have heard.

@porwest That is really wild. How can a computer come up with anything you ask it for? Boggles the mind!

That is admittedly kind of hilarious.
On a related note, regarding AI more broadly:
It, like anything, can unfortunately be abused by bad actors, but I do see benefits in the tech itself when used ethically.

I know a guy personally who uses AI to cheat and it bothers me. He has created fake writers complete with Facebook accounts and Wikipedia pages and all of the articles are all AI generated based on character profiles he has created for them. That sort of thing scares me a bit when you might one day not have any idea what's real or fake.

@jnrdutton It's only going to get worse. I have even noticed many TV commercials using AI generated voiceovers.

@porwest I've known companies that use AI generated "testimonials" to make them seem legit, makes me angry.

Some of what I see that is digital ''art'' is not really art at all. If a person uses an AI detector, and the picture comes up as 98% AI generated art, can they really call it their own art? From what I have read, you cannot copyright your AI art/images. But that's up for debate, it probably will come to that.
I do like April's picture! Pretty cute.

@MarieCoyle Makes sense. I mean, you may be the one who entered the commands to tell it what to illustrate, but you still didn't create the actual image itself.

According to what I have read, as of right now you cannot copyright any art made with AI. You can sell it but can’t do the copyright thing, so it’s basically up for grabs.

That is a pretty comical picture when you actually study it.
