Want FREE books for your children or grandchildren ages 0-5? Go to ImaginationLibrary.com. It's good in the following countries: US, UK, CA, AU and IE and was founded by Dolly Parton. Spectrum took another increase of $9. I have to call them and see what this one is for. Pretty soon our bill will be up to $300 a month. Shameful! Breakfast - Protein bar Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Hamburger, baked beans, potato wedges, grape juice Dessert/Snack - Chocolate chip muffin Dinner - Turkey/Swiss sandwich What did you eat yesterday? THAT is why I don’t have cable. To pay $300 a month for something I rarely watch is stupid. So I just pay them $100 for the internet. Yesterday was chicken soft tacos for lunch and potato soup for dinner. Plus peaches, yogurt, and a Fiber One bar!

@LindaOHio — right now I don’t, either, because I have a “package” with internet and cell phone. I hate having to negotiate every year or two for the same rate.

@FourWalls I got tired of calling Spectrum every month to ask why our bill went up. Dish will do the same things; but it will be a while to get up to $300 a month.

There are much better bargains out there for internet. I don't even pay $100 for internet.

Cable is an abomination for what they charge. I'm ready to pull the plug or seriously downgrade my services. We're at $240 right now, and that includes Internet. For dinner I made braised pork steaks and we had macaroni and cheese and buttered herbed corn on the side.

@porwest To me the new technology is really cool. Dish will eventually increase their price to the Spectrum level; but at least we will enjoy all the new perks.

We're at $293 for TV/internet/phone. I told them I was cancelling; and they dropped it by $20. Going to Dish. They have some really cool new technology.

@LindaOHio Yeah, $20 seems like an "eff you" response. I'd switch too.

They really do like gleaning every dollar they can, don’t they. Yesterday, I had a smoothie, grilled salmon, fries, rice, coleslaw, and two egg rolls.

And it's really not necessary. They could charge a lot less and still make a ton of money.

I had two eggs sunny side up and corned beef hash in the morning and later hot dogs and mac and cheese.

There is just no way way…that’s close to 4K a year just to watch television. I dumped the cable and never looked back. I have one streaming service. I love it, we have all we need or can ever watch.

@LindaOHio There are all types of movies on streaming services, oldies, westerns, popular, everything imaginable. For way over $100 month savings...I think I would learn to love the change. I was hesitant at one point, too. I just knew I'd not care for it all, and I love the options I have now--way, way more choices and interesting things to watch.

@MarieCoyle Which streaming service do you have? I have Hulu for a year at 99 cents a month.

I fixed waffles for breakfast. A friend that works at the Deli brought us chicken bites and we just had peanut butter and jelly for dinner. You had a good lunch from Meals on Wheels.
