Coincidence or God..incidence?

I know not everything in life is orchestrated by God, (life would be a whole lot different if it were!), but I see His Hand in so many areas of my life.
For example, I've been more unsteady on my feet lately than ever and very lightheaded at times. I just thought it was from all these health issues. But yesterday I had a routine appointment with my Oncologist, just to check me out. Had seven vials of blood drawn. One was a newer blood test to check for microscopic cellular DNA for cancer at a closer level than a lot of scans.
Should get those results in a couple of weeks, but the doctor wants to find out why I was so sick and still losing weight.
A new med has been a blessing for sure...I can enjoy eating again without all the pain.
Anyway, we were driving home and got a call from the Nurse telling me my potassium level is 2.6. Anything below 2.5 is critical! No idea why it's so low...maybe the new med? I had no idea anything was wrong except for being so unsteady.
And if I hadn't had all that blood work yesterday, I'd still have no clue about that.
And that's my point. It wasn't a coincidence that I found out about it before I ended up in the ER or worse. God was involved as He has been so many other times in my life.
We aren't spared illnesses and heartbreaks and even death in this life. But when we believe in His Son Jesus Christ, He's there with us through it all. I wouldn't trade that for anything!

I'm just glad you're alright and that's an easy fix.

@1creekgirl Oh, I don't blame you. Treating symptoms is not always fun.

It's an easy fix for the symptoms, thank God, but I'll be glad when they figure out what's causing it.

@kaylachan I know you and your husband have had lots of experience with that. How is George doing now?

I hope your blood work comes back OK. I"ve been worried about you. I'm glad they caught your potassium problem. Having enough potassium is necessary for proper heart function if memory serves me correctly. Have a great day.

I didn't realize how important potassium is, either. Hopefully the level will come up soon. I'm taking the med each day, eating avocados, bananas, sweet potatoes, and drinking orange juice, too.
How are you both doing? I feel like it's been forever since I could do much on myLot.

@LindaOHio I know you get so discouraged. Hang on to Jesus, He'll get you through...sometimes a minute at a time. You and your husband have so many friends on here and we're praying for you both.

@1creekgirl I'm hanging in there; but I'm starting to lose my grip. I want my husband to come home. He is trying to get back to where he was before he caught COVID. It may take a while.

Snowy, it tickles me to be called "kid." My faith really is such a source of strength to me.
John 14:27 reads
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (NIV)

For some reason our paths hadn't crossed in a while on myLot . . . I was wondering how you were and I just now found your post. Thank goodness the culprit was discovered in time before it led to something scary . . . I hope you're doing much better now !

I am always amazed at all the little ways that Jesus works in our lives. I am so glad they found out about the potassium. I think of you often even though it has been a long time since I was on here.
