I'm going to say a few words about the US Presidential race. We'll start with the old, lame, crippled elephant in the room, DonOld Trump. There's a growing opinion that he is not doing all that well. Let's look at two random headlines plucked from this morning's papers that reflect this opinion, "Republicans Worry as Red State Polls Look ‘Worse Than They Should' for Trump," and ""It's like he's choosing to lose": Trump allies fear he is self-destructing over Kamala Harris surge" ((Both Articles Linked Below)). Some people are saying that I should stop comparing DonOld to Hitler and I would like to comply but I can't help but notice how much the Trump Campaign resembles Berlin. In April, 1945. That makes it impossible to not compare and contrast DonOld and Adolph. The contrast part is the easy portion because it barely exists ((Hitler was much younger, didn't have to wear diapers, actually won one election, really did some infrastructure and his wife loved him but they are just about the only differences)). Ah, but then there is the comparing part and it is a different Kessel of Apfelstrudel. Because it hyper exists. Especially in April 1945/August 2024. Both of them are frail, sickly and defeated old men who are frightened out of their minds. Afraid of everything. Prison. Being an exhibit in a Moscow zoo. And many other things but mostly prison and/or being an exhibit in a Moscow zoo. A little less so for DonOld because the Republicans have a very shallow bench. Which guaranteed loser would they replace him with? Little Marco? Lying Ted? Low Energy Jeb? Birdbrain? Shady Vance? Meatball Ron? How will it end? Will the end of Mar-A-Lardo 2024 echo Berlin 1945 with bullets and cyanide? Maybe.
