This morning was interesting...I think.

There is a lot I don't remember about last night, which is unusual for me. I don't drink alcohol, I don't do hard drugs, I'm kind of a laid back person.
I'm not too sure what time it was, all I remember is 3 or 4 things. I remember my chair being at an odd angle in the living room. the end table that is normally beside the chair was half way across the room with one of the drawers pulled out. I came around on the floor between the chair and the end table. I know it was dark outside, and I started struggling to stand up. It suddenly dawned on me that I must have had a seizure!!!! I'm on antiseizure medication and I must have missed 2 doses. Gee, my neighbor downstairs must have been thrilled with the noise!!!! She didn't come up and check, she'll come and complain at me tomorrow.
I managed to turn off the TV, and the light and take my meds and go to bed. I slept deeply through the night and woke up this morning wondering if the mess in the living room was a dream or for real. I wandered down the hall and found that the mess was real. Not as bad as my mind had imagined, but it took about 10 minutes to clean up. I don't do well when I don't feel good to start with, then I need to go get stuff and I have to go get it via public transport (my friend will take off and not even ask if I need anything). I just don't feel up to going via public transport....
I was going to make the trip today, but decided to wait a day and give my body a chance to recover. A seizure isn't fun!!! People who will stop and stare at someone having one needs to be slapped up aside the head. These people need to be taken care of and watched closely, right to the point that they are NOT allowed to fall, strike their heads against something, or anything like that. Hopefully our myLot people will keep this in mind when they are out there. People needed to be treated with love and care.
Anyhow, the morning was interesting, Petey sat in the middle of the mess and meowed at me (reading me the riot act I think) and I know that he slept up very close to me all night, along with Freya. I am fine after the seizure and have taken my medication and have it ready to take at bed time. So don't worry too much. Thank you though for all your love and concern.

So sorry this happened. You really need to make sure you take your meds. I worry if I miss taking mine even once. I do not know much about seizures, but My middle daughter had a Gran Mal seizure one day. Had not been around her for a couple of years. She came for a visit, and we were driving down the road. I looked over and she was laying back, and her body was shaking, and I could not see she was breathing. I panicked..kept telling her to breathe..Had no idea what to do. A friend lived close to where we were, and I pulled into her drive way. Usually she never comes out when I visit, but she came out the door. I yelled to call 911 (no cell phones back then). The ambulance came and they took her to the hospital..she had come to, but was really weak. When I got to the hospital they told me she had a seizure. So scary...as I had no idea how to help her.
Glad to know you are better. Isn't there someone who can come and take you to get things atleast once a week? Since you can not drive because of having serizures, there must be some Group or Entity that could help you. I would be calling 211 I think it is, that might be able to help you find a way. Take care and Take your Meds please!

That's a big reason why I have been taking it easy all day. I figured that it was far smarter than trying to push myself too much. I usually do a lot of pushing and that's even worse for me than sitting on my fanny and doing very little. I'm going to get the medication box set up so that I don't forget to take my pills. Besides scaring the daylights outta me, I also had a miserable time getting back up on my feet.
I have a wonderful gentleman friend that normally comes over on Wednesday and Saturday and we do our shopping. He got a cold and couldn't make it on Wednesday and I am hoping that he isn't going to push himself tomorrow. He's very special and he has deep set feelings for me...
One of my first seizures had me riding to the hospital in a helicopter. I lived 25 miles from town so it was one of those things that they had to do. From then on I was really careful. This is the first time I've had one in about 15 years.
A LOT of the people don't understand why I don't drive even though I have seizures...I don't want to harm another soul with my problem.
I'm going to kick back and see if I can get one of the turtles started.... Have a wonderful evening.

Those can suck, especially if you don't realize you're going to have one. And, while meds help, they don't always stop them completely. I've known people who've had them while taking their meds religiously. Myself included. I'm seisure free, but I've been there.
