That was weird....

I was flipping through the channels on my ROKU TV, and found one I'd never heard of called "Hoopla". On it, I found a television show called Batman and Robin, (1949). I checked it out.
Boy that was weird. It was supposed to be Batman and Robin, but of course their costumes were slightly different, and they drove around in a regular 1940's car.
I don't know about you, but when I think of Batman and Robin as far as TV goes, I think Adam West and Burt Ward. I don't know who these guys were, and I hadn't a clue there was a show before the 1960's version. Did you?

I knew a gentleman who owned a video store in Metairie Louisiana who remembered the Batman and Robin serial shows from the 1940s.
I do remember the Batman television series in Spanish when I was living in Panama that starred the late Adam West and Burt Ward..

When I think of Batman and Robin, I think of the late Adam West and Burt Ward, too. I hadn't a clue there had been a version in the 40's.
Spanish? Well, I guess they've got to go with the language of the area. I wonder how they said something like "Holy crime sprees, Batman!" in Spanish.
