Twitter is melting down about the hosts of the DNC this week

This week is the Democrat National Convention where politicians will speak and Kamala Harris will formally accept the nomination for president. A large part of the party was dreading the event just a month ago because it was going to be focused on Biden who was struggling. Now they are energized and excited to see the Harris/Walz ticket. Yesterday it was announced who each night's host was going to be: actor Tony Goldwyn on Monday, political commentator Ana Navarro on Tuesday, actress (I think) Mindy Kaling on Wednesday, and Kerry Washington on Thursday. They were described as "celebrities". I know Goldwyn from being in the movie "Ghost" (and I think a show called Scandal though I've never seen it). I believe Washington also was on Scandal. Kaling has done some events with Harris in the past. It is political commentator Ana Navarro that both sides are losing their you-know-what about. She appears regularly on The View and on CNN. While she is a Republican she is a "never Trumper" who never misses an opportunity to criticize or mock him. Republicans are pissed for just that reason. Democrats are angry because she isn't a "real" Democrat. I like her. I don't have a problem with the fact that she is registered Republican. She understands how dangerous Trump is and is willing to do what she can to help Kamala get elected.

I'm not an American, so, I'm not aware about Walz. Can someone enlighten me?

He is currently the governor of the state of Minnesota. He was introduced onto the campaign trail a week ago and he has been pretty impressive in the events that he has attended. He seems like a genuinely nice and normal guy.

@NJChicaa Got that. You've used "he" and Harris is a woman right. I'm not disagreeing of women over men. And if I'm not mistaken, there's no lady US President yet elected. Attempted previously by Hillary Clinton but didn't win. You think, Harris will get the first US lady President?

@luisga814 Yes Kamala Harris is a woman and the current vice president. I think she is going to win in November.

Mindy Kaling became famous for her role on The Office. She also writes and directs now I think. I need to watch one of these nights. I forgot last night. Have a good day.
