First Day of School

Hello everyone, how are you all doing?
Today was Eli's first day of 5th grade! Can't believe he is in his last year in elementary. Next year he'll be in middle school!
Eli did not want to get up and get ready to go. He is not used to early mornings and was not ready to get back into the routine.
At least he didn't throw a big fit when we got to the gate and he did get out without a problem.
In an hour or so I will be headed to the school to get a parking spot to pick him up and see how his first day went. Hopefully the traffic is not as bad as this morning. I probably will park in the parking lot until the first week drama calms down (probably a week or two) then I will park on the side of the road again if I can. I really hope so, I don't like dealing with the parking lot.

@MommyOfEli2013 That's what I found interesting. It says a lot about him. He looks like he would be a fun child. I know you said often how much trouble he can be, but this looks like a fun picture.

Usually those days, even the first week, is more fun though and just a review of the previous year (well at least elementary school). But for those who dislike school it can be an awful day lol!

Yes, that is true 100%!!
Pick up though was easy, and then drop off on day 2 was so much easier. Think everyone was just taking their kid the first day even if they usually take the bus and stuff
