Our air conditionner is turning off by itself

This happened three times. The first time I thought I lost my mind. I thought I turned it off and forgot about it. Yesterday it happened again and no one touched the remote control. Today it happened again. It worked for two hours and after that, it turned off. It has a bad smell too. Something is wrong. It is new and we bought it two months ago. We called a company to install it. I wonder if we should call someone to fix it. The electricity bill didn't arrive. I was waiting for it and we don't know know how much we will pay. The summer will end and we don't know how much we will have to pay for AC. I don't think the filters need to be cleaned. I checked and they are clean. It is still new.

Electrical issues alike tripped circuit breakers or defective capacitors can interject power to the AC unit, leading to startling shutdowns. Check the circuit breaker.

I would call someone. We just had our unit inspected and claned. Guy even put in a new filter for me. So I had to provide it, but he still did it.
