Today just a little before 10 a.m. we had to evacuate the building. There was a gas like or sewer like odor. We thought we could go across the street to the Sports-Aquatic Center, where we go for tornadoes, but we could not. It was worse over there. We told the kids it was just a drill. We stayed outside for over an hour while utilities were checked. I never heard what was learned, except it was not natural gas. So much for getting on a regular routine.

Goodness, I wonder what caused something that bad.

Wow, that must have been quite an unexpected disruption! It’s good to hear that it wasn’t natural gas, but I can imagine how unsettling it was to have to evacuate like that. Hopefully, everything is back to normal now, and you can get back into your routine soon. At least the kids handled it well

That's quite a long time to fill in outdoors. I guess the kids didn't mind.
