Another Round of Good Eats

We finally got our BLTs and man, it's been a long time since I made them, and they were delicious. So simple and yet, so good. Used my Gotham Steel bacon pan, and the bacon turned out crispy and delicious, and I got a good yield of grease to cook with later. Beyond that, we had some chicken tetrazzini leftover and that made for a great side along with a leftover corn salad my sister made for a recent birthday party gathering she had us take home the rest of. All in all a delicious and filling meal and we even got to make use of leftovers. Even the kitties got a little bit of bacon and they ate that right up. What went on your dinner table last night?

I love BLTs but haven't had one in awhile. Everything you had for dinner sounds delicious. My daughter got stuck working late yesterday so we just picked up a pizza.

Last night (Friday) was date night, and we went to the movies to see Deadpool and Wolverine, so we stopped and got some chicken tenders and fries from a local chicken place, and then we pigged out on popcorn and candy during the movie. I probably ate about 20 pieces of bacon yesterday at work. I probably would have ate more, but I had to save room in my belly for date night snacks!

@moffittjc OH MY! I do envy you. Fried chicken tenders, French fries, a ton of bacon, and more than likely buttered popcorn...my body would rebel, it just cannot handle much grease. Another mylotter with a cast iron stomach! Enjoy it all while you can, dear friend!

Nothin' like a good BLT! We had simple baked chicken drumsticks and thighs, sauteed green beans, and pita with garlic hummus.

Your dinner sounds yummy as well. I haven't had drumsticks in a while, but they are cheaper than the thighs, which is what I normally get. Maybe it's time for a pack to toss onto the grill.

@porwest I know! I would have gotten more to freeze, but we have no more room in the freezer. Oh, 2.75 per pound, even that would be too much for CA .

@porwest A Greek salad with feta cheese and kalamatas olives, dolmades (vine leaves stuffed with rice) and several appetizers made with filo paste stuffed with different ingredients.

I went out to dinner with my friends from Canasta to The Rite Place. I've never been there. Good food, reasonable prices. I had beef tenderloin on my plate. Your good eats sound delicious.
